Details: On December 24, 1961, a ten-day-old infant girl was discovered abandoned in a cardboard box on the doorstep of Miller Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was determined to most likely be a home birth because a white thread had been used to tie off her umbilical cord. Despite several news articles detailing the story, her family never came forward and she was adopted. The child, named Tammy Makram, is now an adult with children of her own, and is searching for her birth family.
