Real Name: Robert or James Palmer
Case: Lost Friend
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Date: December 1943
Details: In December 1943, Ken Palmer was a second lieutenant in the Army Air Corp heading from Texas to Wisconsin when he encountered a man who was his exact double in a different military uniform while changing trains in Cincinnati. The other man was equally amazed; as they talked, they realized that they had the same last name. However, they were unsuccessful in determining if they had any relatives in common. When Ken began to recount an old family legend, the other man claimed to know exactly what he was talking about. The legend involved two Palmer brothers who cut the cue off of a court official and had to flee England, leaving a treasure behind. At that point, they were certain that they were related somehow.
They shared names and information, but Ken lost his note. All he remembers is that the man's last name was Palmer, he was a technical or staff sergeant in the Army Air Corp, his first name was either Robert or James, and he was from somewhere in the Eastern United States, possibly New Jersey. Ken still hopes to find his double.
Extra Notes: This case first aired on the February 10, 1995 episode.
Results: Unsolved. Ken passed away in May 2006. It is unknown if he ever located his double, although several people have claimed to know the man.
