Case

Details: Robert Borton was a United States Marine and reported MIA in 1965. Since then, his sister, Diane, believes she has seen him driving through Washington D.C. three times. Her belief of a new identity for her brother was almost confirmed when she saw a magazine photo with a man who looked similar taken a year after he was declared MIA. However, a Marine spokesperson declared all the men in the photo were identified and that wasn't him. His father said two men claiming to be from the Department of Defense offered him money to declare Robert dead, but again, the Marine spokesman disagreed. After the matter was pursued for a few more days, he eventually signed their document unaware of its exact contents. Further examination of Robert's file showed the date of his death kept changing. As they investigated further, they believed they were being watched. During a random credit search, Diane's cousin discovered that Robert's social security card was never valid; the cousin was accosted at gunpoint soon afterward.
In 1990, Diane moved to a suburb of Washington D.C. She was at a gas station when she saw someone looking like her brother pull into there. She took his plate number, but he lived in Virginia and claimed to know nothing about Robert. Afterward, one of his war buddies claimed he was alive but was now potentially dangerous. His family now believes he is alive and part of a secret military project.
