Real Name: Ora Armenthia Prince
Aliases: Ora Lewis
Wanted For: Murder
Missing Since: October 16, 1993

Case[]

Details: Thirty-nine-year-old Ora Prince and her ten-year-old son, Willie B. Brookshire Jr., lived in a homeless shelter in Dallas, Texas. They were scheduled to leave the shelter and move into their own apartment in October 1993. But before they moved, Ora disappeared.
Six days later, on October 21, Willie’s body was found stuffed in a bag and hidden under a pile of clothes in the closet of their shelter apartment. The heat had been turned off, apparently to keep the body “fresh.” Although a cause of death could not be determined, authorities believed he had been murdered, possibly via strangulation or suffocation.
Police later discovered that Ora left the shelter with her life savings: $1,000 in cash. Before dawn on October 16, 1993, she was seen getting into a cab. At 8am, she boarded a bus for Atlanta, Georgia. She has not been seen since. Although police were unable to determine a motive for Willie’s murder, they learned that Ora had told neighbors that Willie was a “burden” and “rude,” that she wished she had never had him, and that she did not return the affection he always wanted to show her.
Ora is now wanted for Willie’s murder. She may be hiding out in a homeless shelter.
Extra Notes:

Results: Captured - In May 1998, FBI agents received a tip that Ora had recently moved into a women’s shelter in Seattle, Washington. On May 15, they arrested her there. She had been staying there under an alias. Police discovered she had also stayed in homeless and women’s shelters in Nebraska and California. After her arrest, she was returned to Texas to face murder charges.
In April 1999, Ora pleaded guilty to Willie’s murder and was sentenced to forty years in prison. She was denied parole in 2018 and was next eligible in 2020. It is not known if she is still in prison.
