Details: "Shotgun Jane Doe" is the nickname for an unidentified woman who was picked up by two truckers on June 1, 1987 off I-81 near Bulls Gap, Tennessee. That night, they took her to Knoxville, where they attended a party. Afterwards, they attempted to break into a nearby home with her pretending to plead for help. The homeowner didn't believe it and realized that they were trying to break in. Fearing for her own safety, the homeowner then shot and killed her after she tried to break down the screen door.
The two truckers were later arrested in connection with the break-in and claimed that they did not know her identity. At the time of her death, she was approximately twenty to thirty-years-old, 120 pounds, had brown hair, brown eyes, a tattoo on her left upper arm with the initials "B.H." and a scar on her abdomen believed to be from a C-section. She had injuries that were consistent with a car accident. She remains unidentified.
