Details: Jean-Louis Bonnard was born March 1, 1824 at Saint-Christôt-en-Jarret, Diocese of Lyon and beheaded May 1, 1852 as a French Roman Catholic missionary to Vietnam, one of the Martyrs of there, later canonized in 1988. According to legend, in 1842, he may have broke into a house and stole everything there and blew up the house but was never arrested. No facts are present to determine the veracity of these claims.
