Joseph and Lois Krantz

Real Name: Joseph A. Krantz
Aliases: Joseph Arthur Board
Wanted For: Murder, Kidnapping
Missing Since: August 5, 1992

Case[]

Details: Joseph and Lois Krantz of Kalamazoo, Michigan, had been married for fourteen years and had two daughters. Their marriage was far from perfect as Joseph had been in and out of prison for several years. He had previously been convicted on charges of burglary, fraud, theft, and forgery.
On July 31, 1992, Joseph was released from prison after serving two-and-a-half months for embezzlement and parole violation. At the time, Lois was pregnant with their third child. Recently, she had contacted legal aid about getting a divorce. On August 5, he arrived at her apartment and kidnapped her at gunpoint in front of their daughters and her friend, Janise McCrea. He forced her into a car and they vanished.
That night, Joseph called his mother and told her that he had killed Lois and dumped her body near a lake, about thirty miles away. Three days later, her body was found in the area where he described. She had been shot to death. On August 12, she was laid to rest. Their daughters are now safe with relatives. Joseph is now wanted for her murder, along with that of their unborn baby. Authorities believe he may now be in Florida.
Extra Notes: This case first aired on the September 23, 1992 episode as a part of a Special Alert, along with Martha Doe Roberts.
