Case
Details: Dr. Arvind Sinha is wanted for six counts of rape to his female patients. One of them, a nineteen-year-old woman named "Patricia", claimed that on January 7, 1992, she had come to his office, complaining of flu-like symptoms. She said that he came into the exam room and started asking strange, somewhat sexual questions that seemed unrelated to her illness. After the nurse left, he closed the door and raped her. She left his office in tears. She was afraid to let anyone there know what happened. She called her mother who contacted the police. She was taken to another hospital where she was examined, and evidence of sexual assault was found.
Police later found out that since January 1989, five other young women had told the police that Dr. Sinha had sexually assaulted them; however, the California State Medical Board had chosen not to revoke his medical license, because it was the patient's word against the doctor's. However, after Patricia's rape, he was soon arrested by detective Christine Gregg. She noticed that he had no emotion or reaction to the charges. The next day, he posted bail and soon disappeared. His medical license was later revoked.
Police believe that Dr. Sinha is still in the United States, possibly working as a doctor. He is 5'6", 130 pounds, with dark eyes and black hair, and was born on January 7, 1958.
