Real Name: David Alex Alvarez
Aliases: None Known
Wanted For: Murder, Attempted Murder, Kidnapping
Missing Since: September 29, 1996
Details: On September 29, 1996, twenty nine year old David Alvarez, along with an accomplice, murdered four people in a Baldwin Park, California home: young sisters Evelyn and Massiel Torres, their uncle Robert Diaz, and their gardener Jose Roja, execution-style. Three other people were wounded, but survived. The apparent motive was revenge against David's estranged wife, who was not in the home at the time, and her family. He is also wanted for kidnapping his wife in August of 1996.
Extra Notes: This case first aired on the February 14, 1997 episode as a part of a special bulletin.
Results: Captured. In May of 1997, Alvarez was arrested in Mexico. However, he was refused extradition and was only tried for Diaz and Roja's murders because they were Mexican nationals. In 1998, Alvarez was convicted of the murders and sentenced to 50 years in prison, in addition to a 40-year sentence he received earlier for attempted murder.
