Case

Details: On December 26, 1981, Army Sgt. Hubert Ester, 40, was murdered in his home in Monroe, Louisiana. Authorities discovered that Hubert's wife Patricia had become romantically involved with Danny Weeks. It was later determined that Patricia had hired Weeks to kill her husband. Weeks pleaded guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison; Patricia Ester was found guilty of first degree murder and was also sentenced to life in prison.
On August 24, 1986, Weeks and another inmate, James Colvin, escaped from the Louisiana State Penitentiary. The two escapees kidnapped three women on three separate occasions while escaping the state. They let each woman go unharmed. Colvin was later arrested in Los Angeles, but Weeks is still at large and is on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list.
Extra Notes: The case was featured as a part of Special #1 which aired on January 20, 1987, in the FBI's Most Wanted Roll Call.
Results: Captured. In March 1988, Weeks and Jorene Florea were arrested by FBI agents in Seattle. Two weeks earlier, Weeks and Florea had kidnapped a woman and forced her to drive for several days before releasing her. Weeks was returned to the Louisiana State Penitentiary and is serving a life sentence.
