Characteristics: Bi-racial (of African-American and Arab-American descent). Red hair, brown eyes. Alexander had a birth mark on the outside of his left calf. A very small scar on the right corner of his mouth, and scars around both of his ankles. He was often referred to as "Salaam", and had a speech impediment.
Case
Details: Alexander is the four-year-old son of Judy Olive. Judy, then twenty-one, met Alexander's father, Ulysses Roberson, after he became friends with him and his sister, who had just given birth at the clinic Judy worked at. Ulysses soon was able to impregnate Judy and two months later Judy moved in with Ulysses and a cult that he was the leader of. Her mother tried to save her from him by sending her to a deprogramming center, but she remained unchanged and later moved in with her brother to await the birth of her son. Alexander was born on May 16, 1981, and her family thought Judy was done seeing Ulysses. Four months later, however, Judy went back to Ulysses and she and Alexander moved in with him and the cult. Soon, Ulysses had taken on more and more "wives" like Judy and had several more children with them. Ulysses and the cult moved from city to city and continued to take more wives. Ulysses had Judy go back to being a nurse, and he began taking her paychecks from her. In 1985, Ulysses and the cult moved to Washington state while Judy stayed in San Francisco. Ulysses and one of his wives were soon arrested for child abuse, but he fled, and scattered the cult to different parts of the country. Alexander and some members of the cult were sent to Sacramento, where Judy was able to visit him on weekends. During one visit, she found Alexander seriously injured and Ulysses acting crazy, claiming he had assaulted him to get rid of a demon. A few days later, on November 9, 1985, Ulysses moved Alexander to Lake Tahoe, and then packed up several of his children and one of his wives. As he was leaving, he went upstairs to retrieve a large bundle, which one of his wives believed was a bruised and battered Alexander. This was the last time Alexander Olive was seen alive. When Judy confronted Ulysses about Alexander's disappearance, he beat her savagely, and at this point she finally went to the police to report him. Ulysses Robinson was arrested and charged with rape and child abuse. He was convicted and sentenced to twenty years in prison. He has refused to reveal Alexander's whereabouts. There has been some speculation that Roberson may have murdered Alexander through extreme physical abuse and then leaving him in a cold garage.

Results: Unresolved. In 1997, Pamalar Lewis, one of Ulysses's "wives" told police that she had witnessed Ulysses severely beat Alexander with a piece of firewood at the home in Lake Tahoe around the time he vanished. However, authorities did not feel that her witness testimony was enough to charge Ulysses. In 2001, another wife, Raj Roberson, came forward, claiming that she seen Ulysses beat Alexander and the boy's lifeless body floating in a bathtub. She was then forced by Ulysses to help him take Alexander's body to a van. He forced her to close her eyes as he drove for several hours to get rid of Alexander's body. DNA testing done in 2001 proved that Alexander's blood was on clothing found in Ulysses's van in 1986. This helped authorities to charge Ulysses with Alexander's murder. However, he was not tried for murder until the fall of 2009. Several witnesses testified that they had seen Alexander alive for several years after his disappearance while some witnesses claimed to have seen him as recently as 2001. In December 2009, however, Ulysses Roberson was convicted of the second-degree murder of Alexander. He was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. Tragically, Alexander's remains have never been found.
